Terms & Conditions

Draft placeholder — have this reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

1. Service area

ZapRide provides bike ride and bike parcel services strictly within Mumbai city limits. We do not accept, schedule, or fulfil any booking with a pickup or drop point outside the defined service area.

2. Accounts

Customers and drivers must provide accurate information at sign-up. Drivers must complete KYC verification (Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, vehicle RC) and receive admin approval before accepting rides.

3. Bookings and cancellations

A customer may cancel a ride any time before the trip starts (before OTP verification with the driver). A cancellation fee may apply as shown in the app at the time of cancellation. Once a ride is marked in progress, it can no longer be cancelled through the app.

4. Fares

Fares are calculated from a base fare, per-kilometre rate, and applicable surge multiplier, shown to the customer before booking. Final fare may vary slightly based on actual distance travelled.

5. Payments

Payments can be made by cash to the driver or online through our payment partner, Cashfree. See our Payment Policy for details.

6. Conduct and suspension

ZapRide may suspend or ban any customer or driver account found to violate these terms, engage in fraud, or compromise the safety of other users. Reasons for suspension are communicated to the affected account.

7. Limitation of liability

ZapRide facilitates bookings between customers and independent drivers. While we vet drivers through KYC, we are not liable for loss, damage, or delay arising from third-party conduct beyond our reasonable control.

8. Insurance and coverage

ZapRide does not provide accidental, medical, or injury coverage to customers or drivers during a ride. Any personal accident insurance, health insurance, or other coverage is the sole responsibility of the customer and driver to arrange independently. Drivers are required to hold valid vehicle insurance as mandated by applicable law.

9. Parcel liability

For parcel delivery bookings, the driver assumes full responsibility for the parcel from pickup until confirmed delivery. In the event of loss, damage, or theft of a parcel during transit, ZapRide bears no liability and is not obligated to entertain or process compensation claims from the sender, receiver, or any third party. Any dispute regarding a lost or damaged parcel is a matter to be resolved directly between the customer and the driver.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
